We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Womenswear Designer & Product Developer to support the Creative Director in the design and development of the Bassike womenswear collection.This role is ideal for someone with approximately five years' experience in a commercial fashion brand who has a strong eye for trend, excellent product development skills and a genuine passion for premium womenswear.Working closely alongside the Creative Director, you will assist in bringing each collection to life through research, design support and end-to-end product development.
You will play an integral role in the execution of the collection, ensuring products are developed to the highest standards of quality, fit and commercial viability.While this position is primarily a support role, there will be opportunities to take on greater design responsibility as the role develops.Key ResponsibilitiesTrend Research & Design SupportResearch global fashion trends, runway collections, retail markets and emerging fabric innovationsPrepare seasonal research and inspiration for the Creative DirectorAssist with seasonal colour palettes, fabric direction and concept developmentCreate presentation boards and design documentationSupport the Creative Director throughout the seasonal design processIdentify opportunities to evolve and elevate existing core productProduct DevelopmentCo-ordinate with and assist product developers across allocated stylesLiaise with suppliers throughout the sampling processEnsure all samples are checked thoroughly against specificationsAttend fit sessions and accurately record comments and development notesWork closely with pattern makers to achieve the desired fit and garment executionEnsure development timelines are achieved across multiple categoriesCollection CoordinationMaintain seasonal range plans and collection accuracyOrganise and track samples throughout developmentMaintain fabric,
trim and development librariesCoordinate approvals and communicate updates with suppliers and internal teamsSupport preparation for range reviews and sales presentationsDevelopment to Production HandoverOversee style handover to productionEnsure all product information is complete and accurately handed over to ProductionAssist in maintaining consistency and quality across all stylesSustainabilitySupport sustainable design and development practices throughout the collectionResearch and recommend responsible fabrics, trims and production processes where appropriateAbout YouYou have around five years experience working within a commercial fashion brand and thrive in a fast-paced product setting.

You enjoy collaborating closely with a Creative Director and have the confidence to contribute ideas while also taking ownership of the detailed execution that brings a collection to life.
