free parkingCareer pathways across the global Sime and Caterpillar networkYou'll thrive in this role if you...Enjoy solving technical problems.Have a passion for automation and roboticsLike working with emerging technology.Want to make a real operational impact.Value teamwork, safety and continuous improvement.What you'll be doing:As a Technology & Automation Technician at Hastings Deering, you will:Perform preventative maintenance on warehouse automation assets in line with OEM schedulesConduct inspections, operational checks and cleaning to maximise equipment reliabilityDiagnose and rectify faults across automation, robotics and electromechanical systemsSupport automated storage, conveyor systems, AMRs, AGVs and associated control systemsAssist with testing, commissioning, system upgrades and continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate with OEM partners and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issuesMaintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentationPromote safe work practices and ensure compliance with Hastings Deering safety standardWhat you'll need:A successful candidate will demonstrate:Trade qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation or similarExperience in industrial maintenance, automation, manufacturing, warehousing or mining environmentsStrong fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilityAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamCommitment to safety and high-quality workmanshipExperience with warehouse automation, robotics, conveyors or PLC-controlled systemsFamiliarity with CMMS or maintenance management systemsForklift licence or other relevant high-risk licencesHastings Deering follows a Pre-Employment Process for all successful applicants, which includes two employment references, a National Police Check and a medical assessment.
