HUNR HOTELS PTY LTD Quest Melbourne Airport is a reputable serviced apartment accommodation provider catering to both corporate and leisure travellers.
The property is committed to delivering high quality guest experiences, maintaining strong operational standards, and ensuring the efficient management of all hotel functions.
The business now seeks an experienced Hotel or Motel Manager with experience as a Duty manager to oversee daily operations and lead the team in Tullamarine, VIC.
Manage organise and control overall accommodation, reservation, reception, room service and housekeeping activities
Efficiently manage guest arrivals and departures, ensuring smooth check-in and check-out processes while providing a welcoming experience
Handle all reservations via phone, email, and online booking platforms, ensuring accurate purchase orders, record keeping and timely follow-ups
Provide high-quality customer service, handling guest inquiries, special requests, and resolving any issues to ensure satisfaction
Supervise and delegate duties to supervisors and prepares work schedule for them
Control and manage expenses of all motel departments
Accurately process guest payments, including cash, credit card, and online transactions, and maintain detailed billing records
Actively take part in Sales Activity within the hotel including referral of lead to the Sales office
Liaise with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for guest arrivals and coordinating room cleanliness and maintenance
Perform all duties applicable to the night shift ensuring all report, system checks as well as run of the day (date system change) are performed accordingly to standards and motel requirements
Assist guests with local information,



directions, restaurant recommendations, transportation arrangements, and tourism activities
Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and efficiently, aiming to resolve issues in a timely manner
Supervise all sections and improvements in operation to identify opportunities to improve service standard
Meet regularly with supervisors in order to convey all necessary information, concerning events taking place in the hotel, memoranda received, transfers and training procedures or instruction
Work effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and management teams to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional guest experiences
Regularly update and report operational activities, guest feedback, room occupancy, and any issues that require attention or resolution
Monitor systems development processes to ensure successful project completion
Monitor overall performance, including revenue, expenses and cost controls, ensuring alignment with business objectives
Present operational reports on occupancy, guest satisfaction and business performance to senior management
Oversee procurement and inventory management, ensuring cost- effective purchasing and adequate supply levels
Manage guest services, including tourism information, transportation and external service arrangements
Ensure good communication and cooperation between front office department and other departments




Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally in fluent English, both written and verbal
Robust interpersonal skills to engage effectively with guests, staff, and stakeholders
Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
Proven capability to manage both front-of-house and back-of- house motel operations
Excellent coordination and multitasking skills in a fast-paced hospitality environment
Strong team leadership and supervision skills to ensure smooth daily operations
