We're looking for Heavy Vehicle Technicians who not only bring technical skill and experience but also share our strong commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful workplace.
Join our team and work with an impressive fleet of Volvo, Mack, and UD Trucks, using the latest technology in a modern, state‐of‐the‐art workshop located at Derrimut.This is a full‐time position working the afternoon shift (3:30pm to 11:36pm).
About the roleIn this rewarding and hands‐on position, you'll be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of trucks.
You'll have access to cutting‐edge diagnostic equipment and ongoing support to grow your technical expertise.
The role suits a self‐driven professional with a keen eye for detail, excellent diagnostic ability, and a passion for providing top‐tier service.Your main responsibilitiesSafely carry out repairs, servicing, and inspections of engines, gearboxes, brakes, differentials, and moreUse the latest diagnostic equipment to accurately assess and resolve vehicle issuesComplete transparent, detailed reports on repair orders, including supplies used and prioritised recommendationsSupport and guide apprentice technicians in safe work practices and technical tasksProactively identify and report any hazards or safety concernsYou will need to haveA minimum of 2 years on‐the‐job experience in the heavy vehicle industry in AustraliaCertificate III in Mechanical Trade (Heavy Vehicle) or equivalentStrong understanding of safe work practices and proceduresExperience with American, European, or Japanese drivelines is highly regardedAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative, customer‐focused teamA current HC/HR licence is an advantage but not essentialStrong work ethic, time management, and attention to detailExcellent communication skills and a strong commitment to safetyOwn toolkitThe right to work in AustraliaAt CMV Truck & Bus, we believe our people are our greatest asset.
