Our client is a household name in Melbourns Custom residential build sector and is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Drafterto join their Baysideteam.
Working closely with theirdesign, estimating and construction teams, you will be responsible for producing accurate documentation and technical drawings across a range of high end residential custom build projects - 2-6ml value each.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically focused drafter who enjoys collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and contributing to projects from concept through to construction.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed design and construction documentation using Archicad.
Produce plans, elevations, sections, joinery details and technical drawing packages.
Coordinate documentation with consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
Ensure drawings comply with relevant Australian Standards, Building Codes and project requirements.
Assist with design development and technical problem-solving throughout project delivery.
Review and update documentation throughout project stages.
Support permit, tender and construction documentation processes.
Maintain drawing registers and project documentation standards.
Liaise with project managers, designers and site teams to ensure documentation accuracy.
Skills & Experience
Qualification in Architectural Drafting,



Building Design, Architecture or related discipline.
5 + years' experience in a drafting or documentation role.
Robust proficiency in Archicad required.
Sound understanding of construction methodologies and detailing.
Experience producing construction documentation for custom residential, design focused projects.
Knowledge of Australian Building Codes and relevant standards.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
