This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining locomotives to the highest operational standards, ensuring fleet reliability, safety and availability.Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform mechanical and/or electrical maintenance activities on locomotives including inspections, servicing, repairs, fault finding, testing, calibration and component replacement.
You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives,
maintain accurate maintenance records and support safe and efficient rail operationsKey ResponsibilitiesConduct preventative and corrective maintenance on locomotivesInspect, service, repair, test and troubleshoot mechanical and/or electrical components.Complete maintenance documentation and accurately record data in maintenance systems.Deliver clear shift handovers and communicate maintenance outcomes.Identify opportunities to improve reliability, availability and maintenance performance.Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and compliance.Work collaboratively with operations, train crews and engineering teams.This role is on a Monday - Friday rotating roster with 2 weeks on day shift, 1 week on afternoon shift.
