Childcare Centre Cook – Learn Play Grow Early Education and Care – Kardinya

Learn Play Grow Early Education and Care is a family owned early learning service committed to providing a warm, nurturing, and engaging setting for children and families.

We are currently seeking a confident and organised Cook to join our team at our Kardinya centre to prepare healthy, nutritious home-style meals for children aged 6 months to 6 years.

This is a permanent part time Monday to Friday position with no weekend work.

As our Centre Cook, you will prepare morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late snacks while creating a positive and welcoming kitchen setting.

Responsibilities
Preparing healthy and nutritious meals for children aged 6 months to 6 years
Assisting with the development of seasonal menus that meet nutritional guidelines and cater for dietary requirements and allergies




Ensuring food is prepared and stored in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
Managing kitchen stock, food ordering, and stock rotation

Qualifications
Current Food Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Experience cooking in a childcare setting or similar workplace is highly regarded
Strong organisational and time management skills
A positive and reliable attitude
Current Australian working rights
