Hobbies Direct is looking for an enthusiastic Sales & Customer Service Representative to join our growing team in Geelong.
This is a varied role combining retail customer service, product advice and proactive wholesale sales.
You'll help hobbyists find the right products while supporting and growing our network of hobby shops and specialty retailers across Australia.
The ideal person will be a confident communicator who enjoys helping customers, building relationships and identifying sales opportunities.
Knowledge of RC vehicles and hobby products would be highly regarded, but a genuine interest and willingness to learn are just as important.
About the role
You'll work across customer service, retail sales and wholesale account development.
Customer service and retail sales
Respond to customer enquiries by phone, email and live chatProvide helpful product advice, recommendations and basic troubleshootingAssist customers with orders, delivery tracking and website navigationRecommend suitable parts, accessories and upgradesDeliver friendly, accurate and timely customer service
Wholesale sales and account development
Reach out to potential wholesale customers, including hobby shops and specialty retailersBuild strong, long‐term relationships with new and existing wholesale accountsIntroduce customers to relevant products, new releases and sales opportunitiesKeep wholesale customers informed about stock availability and pricingProcess wholesale orders and provide priority account supportGather feedback to help improve our wholesale offering and product ranges




Order support and administration
Assist with special orders, backorders and order changesCollect initial information for warranty and product claimsMaintain accurate customer, account and order recordsWork closely with our retail, warehouse, purchasing, customer service and warranty teams
What we're looking for
Experience in customer service, retail sales or a similar customer-facing roleConfidence communicating with customers over the phone and in writingAn interest in proactive sales, account management or B2B relationship buildingKnowledge of RC vehicles, spare parts and hobby products, or a strong willingness to learnStrong organisational skills and attention to detailThe ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentA calm, skilled and solutions-focused approachA positive attitude and willingness to contribute as part of a growing team
