We pride ourselves on maintaining a secure, team-oriented work environment where every team member contributes to our continued success.As a Plastic Extrusion Operator, your responsibilities will include:Setting up, starting and operating rigid and flexible extrusion machinesInstalling and changing dies, tooling and associated equipmentSetting and adjusting machine temperatures, speeds, pressures and cooling conditionsMonitoring production lines to maintain consistent product qualityMeasuring finished products and checking them against drawings and specificationsOperating downstream equipment, including cooling tanks, haul-offs, cutters, saws and windersLoading raw materials, masterbatch and regrind according to production requirementsIdentifying and correcting extrusion faults,



surface defects and dimensional issuesCompleting production records, quality checks and job paperworkPerforming basic machine troubleshooting and preventative maintenanceMinimising scrap, material waste and production downtimeKeeping machines and work areas clean, safe and organisedFollowing workplace health and safety proceduresWorking closely with supervisors, quality staff and other operatorsTo be considered, applicants must have:A minimum of two years' plastic extrusion experienceExperience operating both rigid and adaptable extrusion linesThe ability to independently set up, start and run an extrusion machineA basic understanding of common plastic materials and their processing requirementsExperience changing dies and extrusion toolingGood mechanical and problem-solving skillsExperience using verniers, gauges and other measuring equipmentThe ability to read drawings, job sheets and product specificationsStrong attention to detail and a focus on qualityA reliable, punctual and safety-focused attitudeThe ability to work independently and within a teamA forklift licence and previous experience working with PVC extrusion would be highly regarded.
