CSSD Technician - Permanent FULL TIME, PART TIME AND CASUAL

About The Role

The CSSD Technician is responsible for the cleaning, assembly, inspection, wrapping and sterilisation of surgical instruments and medical equipment across the CSSD and Endoscopy departments. A Sterilising Certificate is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities
Process instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control standards and guidelines.
Undertake testing of equipment as required and promptly escalated identified anomalies to the appropriate facility authority.
Perform functions in accordance with GESA & GENCA, HICMR and AS5369:2023 current standards.

Essential Qualifications




Certificate III in Sterilisation Services or willingness to attain.
Effective communication skills and willingness to work in a team environment.
Commitment to continuing career development.

Desirable
Previous experience in CSSD and/or Endoscopy services.
Understanding of current Australian Standard AS5369:2023.
