Steamatic Gold Coast is a family owned and operated franchise currently looking for an enthusiastic Restoration Technician or Trainee to join our team.Tasks and responsibilitiesAbout the roleStart your day from our factory in Helensvale and travel in a company vehicle to scheduled jobs to assist customers with water, mould and fire damage.Variety in each day with different jobs, customers and skills required.The position offers above award wage rates, allowances and performance bonuses for the right applicant.
Full training including IICRC Certifications will be provided to the right candidate.Must be able to demonstrate the following attributes:Must be trustworthy; able to work independently and as part of a teamAttention to detail is criticalMust be physically fit; able to perform heavy liftingElectronic Reporting Skills – i.e. use of iPadStrong communication skills both verbally and writtenMust be available to work on-call / after hours on a set roster once initial training has been completedPossess a current Australian Driver's LicenseWilling to obtain a Working with Children's Check, current Police Check and full MedicalResponsibilities include:Attend water damage, fire damage, mould and meth jobsPerform all areas of mitigation & restoration works, including strip outs, small scale demolition, water mitigation, structural drying & carpet/upholstery cleaningAttend to specialised cleaning/restoration jobsComplete all necessary job documentation on an ipadSkills and experienceThe right person will have:A outstanding work ethic and positive attitudeWillingness to learnAbility to perform detailed cleaning (similar to asbestos cleanup) is an advantageHandy, practical and experience with some hand tools is an advantageAdditional requirementsHave experience with hand tools or detailed cleaningAre practical, positive, proactive and eager to learnWant to build a long-term career in restoration
