The role involves a combination of laboratory‐based duties and field sampling activities, requiring a high level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4pmKey ResponsibilitiesCollect water samples from various operational and environmental sites.Transport, prepare, and process samples for laboratory analysis.Calibrate, maintain, and operate laboratory instruments and equipment.Perform routine laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures.Accurately record, document, and report laboratory data.Assist with laboratory quality assurance and compliance requirements.Maintain laboratory cleanliness and undertake general housekeeping duties.Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety and environmental guidelines.Support the Laboratory Manager and wider laboratory team with day‐to‐day operations.This role requires regular travel between multiple sites across Melbourne's northern suburbs.About YouBachelor of Science (Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related discipline)orCertificate/Diploma in Laboratory Techniques.Previous experience in a lab tech/sampling operator role highly regardedCurrent Australian Driver's Licence and own reliable carFlexibility to work varying hours in line with operational requirements.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate results.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a busy environment.Commitment to workplace health and safety practices.
