We are seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to join our team and support the delivery of commercial, civil, industrial and residential concrete construction projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their estimating skills while working alongside experienced industry professionals.About the RoleReporting to the Estimating Team, you will assist with the preparation of accurate cost estimates and tender submissions across a range of concrete and formwork projects.Key responsibilities include:Assisting with the estimation of concrete construction projects, including smaller standalone projectsPreparing quantity take-offs for:FormworkExcavationAssociated construction worksMeasuring quantities from engineering and construction drawingsObtaining pricing from suppliers and subcontractorsPreparing project estimates and cost breakdownsEntering costing information into estimating software and spreadsheetsAssisting with tender preparation and tender submissionsMonitoring project costs against estimates and budgetsUsing Bluebeam software for take-offs and mark-upsSupporting project documentation and reporting requirementsAssisting with the preparation and review of SWMS (Secure Work Method Statements)Managing workforce and site inductions documentationSupporting WHS compliance requirements and safety administrationAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:Previous experience in estimating, construction administration, project coordination, or a similar role within the construction industryUnderstanding of concrete, formwork, civil or commercial construction projectsExperience interpreting engineering and construction drawingsStrong numerical and analytical skillsExperience with quantity take-offs and cost estimation processesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office SuiteExperience using Bluebeam (highly regarded)Knowledge of SWMS, site inductions and WHS requirementsExcellent attention to detailStrong communication and organisational skillsA proactive attitude and willingness to learnWhat's on OfferExposure to a wide variety of construction projectsMentoring from experienced estimating professionalsSupportive and collaborative team environmentCompetitive salary package based on experienceOpportunity to grow into a Senior Estimator role over time
