Keilor Hotel is seeking an Assistant Hotel Manager to join our dynamic hospitality team on a full-time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the overall management and operations of our hotel, based in Keilor, VIC ****.
As Assistant Hotel Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining operational excellence, and supporting the General Manager & Hotel Manager in the day-to-day running of the property.
This position offers the chance to develop your leadership skills whilst contributing to a thriving hospitality business.
Key responsibilities
Supporting the Hotel Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
Managing front-of-house operations, including gaming, bistro, bar and function areas
Assisting with staff supervision, scheduling, training, and performance management across departments
Addressing guest concerns and complaints promptly, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction
Monitoring hotel facilities and maintenance standards to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
Contributing to revenue optimisation through effective management of bookings, rates, and occupancy
Supporting the implementation of marketing initiatives and promotional activities
Assisting with financial management, including budget monitoring and cost control measures
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations
Deputising for the Hotel Manager when required
What we're looking for
Proven experience in a hotel management or supervisory role within the hospitality industry
Solid knowledge of hotel operations, including gaming, staff training and food and beverage services




Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
Outstanding customer service expertise with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency with hotel management systems and Microsoft Office applications
Sound financial acumen and experience with budget management
Problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Relevant hospitality qualifications or certifications (such as hospitality management qualifications) are advantageous
Must hold a valid Victorian Gaming license and current modules
Current First Aid and CPR certification is preferred
Flexibility to work afternoon shift, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
