The business provides vehicle servicing, mechanical repairs, logbook servicing, diagnostic testing, diesel vehicle servicing, automotive air conditioning repairs and roadworthy inspections for passenger and light commercial vehicles.
The workshop uses modern diagnostic technology and focuses on reliable workmanship, vehicle safety and efficient customer service.About the Role A'n'E Automotive Hallam is seeking a qualified Motor Mechanic to undertake vehicle inspections, servicing, fault diagnosis, mechanical repairs and automotive air conditioning repair work as part of its daily workshop operations.
The successful candidate will work on a range of petrol and diesel vehicles and ensure all servicing and repair work is completed accurately, safely and in accordance with manufacturer requirements.Location: Hallam VIC ****Employment Type: Full-TimeSalary: $75,000 to $85,000 + superannuationKey ResponsibilitiesInspect vehicles and diagnose mechanical faults using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipmentCarry out scheduled, logbook and general vehicle servicing in accordance with manufacturer specificationsRepair and replace faulty engine, transmission, braking, steering, suspension and cooling system componentsDiagnose, service and repair automotive air conditioning systems, including compressors, condensers,



hoses and associated componentsPerform engine tuning, fluid changes, filter replacements and other routine maintenance workInspect vehicle systems and components to identify wear, damage and safety-related defectsTest and adjust repaired mechanical and air conditioning systems to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficientlyConduct road tests and final quality checks following servicing and repair workIdentify repairs required for vehicles undergoing roadworthy inspectionsRecord servicing, diagnostic findings, repairs completed and replacement parts usedMaintain workshop tools, equipment and work areas in a secure, clean and serviceable conditionFollow workplace health and safety, environmental and workshop procedures at all timesCandidate RequirementsCertificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent relevant qualificationMinimum 1-2 years of relevant experience as a Motor MechanicExperience servicing and repairing petrol and diesel passenger or light commercial vehiclesExperience diagnosing and repairing automotive air conditioning systems will be highly regardedStrong understanding of vehicle mechanical systems, fault diagnosis and maintenance proceduresAbility to interpret diagnostic results and manufacturer servicing informationStrong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and effectively within a workshop teamCurrent Australian driver licence is preferredOnly candidates currently residing in Australia will be shortlisted.
