You will be responsible for producing high-quality TIG welds across a range of materials including stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, and exotic metals, working to strict engineering specifications and quality standards.This is a workshop-based role ideally suited to a welder who takes pride in producing clean, exact, and consistent welds on complex, high-specification security products.WHAT YOU WILL DOPerform precision TIG welding on stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, and exotic metals including titanium and duplex stainlessRead and interpret detailed engineering drawings, weld symbols, and fabrication specificationsFabricate and assemble high-security steel components to exact tolerances and quality standardsPrepare materials including cleaning, cutting, and fitting up components prior to weldingInspect completed welds and ensure all work meets internal quality standards and AS/NZS requirementsSet up, operate, and maintain TIG welding equipment and associated workshop toolsWork closely with fabricators, boilermakers,



and the workshop supervisor to meet production schedulesMaintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment at all timesFollow all WorkSafe Victoria and site-specific WHS/OHS policies and safe work proceduresReport any defects, non-conformances, or hazards to the workshop supervisor promptlyWHAT YOU NEEDProven experience as a TIG Welder in a precision fabrication or manufacturing environmentHigh proficiency in TIG welding on stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminiumExperience welding exotic metals such as titanium and duplex stainless steel is highly regardedAbility to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and weld symbolsStrong understanding of weld preparation, fit-up, and distortion control techniquesExceptional attention to detail with the ability to produce clean, consistent, high-quality weldsSound understanding of WHS/OHS requirements and safe work practicesAbility to work independently to tight tolerances and meet production deadlinesReliable, punctual, and committed to producing work of the highest standardREQUIRED LICENCES & CERTIFICATIONSESSENTIALTrade Qualification — Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (MEM***** or equivalent),



or recognised Overseas Welder Qualification with VETASSESS assessment.White Card – Construction Induction (CPCCWHS****) — A valid White Card is required under WorkSafe Victoria requirements.
