In this role you will be responsible for maintaining an online cross criminal justice agency scheduling system and coordinating prisoners' appearances via videoconferencing for court, legal and other purposes.The Videoconferencing Coordinator will be required to liaise directly with courts, Sentence Management, custodial staff, legal practitioners (including Legal Aid Queensland) and other stakeholders to ensure the most efficient videoconferencing outcomes on a day-to-day basis.Job detailsPosition status: PermanentPosition type: Full-timeOccupational group: AdministrationClassification: AO3Workplace Location: Townsville regionJob ad reference: QLD/*********Closing date: 20-Aug-****Yearly salary: $***** - $*****Fortnightly salary: $******* - $*******Contact person: Emily DykstraPhone: *********Access the National Relay ServiceThe primary accountabilities of the Video Conferencing Coordinator include:Coordinate all VC bookings utilising the online booking system (GoBookings)Communicate with court and Correctional Centre staff to minimise prisoner wait times and rescheduling of court eventsMonitoring of the live feed of all videoconferences and communicate with courts, legal representatives, and custodial officers regarding internal prisoner movements, completions, cancellations and delaysEnsure sharing of information with other custodial centres, Sentence Management,
courts and legal representatives regarding prisoner placement and movement/transfersMonitor prisoner responses to their court outcomes where possible and communicate where necessary to custodial officers and Offender DevelopmentEnsure the appropriate exchange of information with key agencies to optimise the use of resourcesBuild relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate a better information flow regarding videoconferencing activitiesSchedule visits with local courts and other external stakeholders to maintain transparent working relationships with the Judiciary, court staff and other professionals in these locationsMaintain agency electronic recording systems as required, collate informationEnsure comprehensive recording and documenting of all information collected during the videoconferencing processAssist with monitoring and maintaining IOMS to ensure accurate statistics are availableProvide data input support for staff as requiredEnsure the confidentiality of all documentation handledProvide support to other staff on administrative issues and assist with the preparation of memorandums, reports and correspondence and human resource documentation.The role description provides the minimum requirements for the role.
