Danihers Facility Management is seeking a motivated Maintenance Officer to join our growing team, maintaining one of our valued school sites in Melbourne's inner east.

We invest in developing our teams and fostering a supportive culture where initiative, teamwork and continuous improvement are valued.About the RoleReporting to the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across a busy school campus.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:General building maintenance and handyman repairsPreventative maintenance and routine property inspectionsBasic carpentry, repairs and minor building worksSetting up and packing down for school events and functionsCoordinating contractors and monitoring works on siteIdentifying maintenance issues and implementing practical solutionsMaintaining a secure,
clean and well-presented environmentBuilding positive relationships with school staff, contractors and the Danihers teamEnsuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with workplace health and safety requirementsAbout YouWe are looking for someone who is proactive, reliable and takes pride in delivering quality work.You will have:Experience in building maintenance, facilities management or a similar maintenance roleTrade qualifications (Carpentry or a related trade highly regarded)Excellent handyman skills and the ability to complete a wide range of maintenance tasksStrong communication and customer service skillsA proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilitiesThe ability to work independently and manage competing prioritiesA current Working with Children CheckA current National Police CheckA current Australian Driver LicenceExperience working within a school or education environment will be highly regarded.Work Environment and ConditionsOutdoor physical work, including lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying and reaching, including rubbish collection and event set upsUse of power tools and other maintenance equipmentWork with an established and respected facilities management companySupportive and collaborative team cultureOpportunities for training and professional developmentA role where your work makes a visible difference every dayBe part of a company that genuinely values its people and lives The Danihers WayNote: employment is conditional upon providing an approved Working with Children Check and National Police Check (
