Job Description

Key Activities
Create new or revise product designs for the designated product category aligned with CR's product strategy, or in response to existing product issues according to CR and industry standards
Conduct peer reviews of other engineers' designs to ensure that they are completed using sound engineering practice
Apply the applicable controls identified to reduce risk to the design
Ensure that all technical designs and solutions are provided in a manner that allows effective manufacturing
Work efficiently as part of a team




Plan and conduct professional engineering work without detailed supervision, but with guidance from the senior engineering team
Exercise individual judgement and initiative in the application of engineering principles, techniques and methods
Take part in root cause investigations into CR product related issues to gain a further understanding of the products
Support other departments in CR with the provision of technical information relating to CR products as guided by other senior members of the engineering team
Attend client or supplier sites to assess and/or support CR products throughout their life cycle
Prototype, trial or simulate proposed product designs with guidance to verify that they achieve the requirements detailed
Prepare engineering reports, designs, drawings and/or presentations
