Workforce Extensions Geelong is recruiting on behalf of one of Australia's leading food manufacturing businesses, operating one of the country's largest lamb processing facilities based in Colac.This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Maintenance Fitter who enjoys fault finding, preventative maintenance and working across a diverse range of production equipment in a large manufacturing environment.Working Sunday to Thursday, you'll join an experienced maintenance team responsible for keeping a high-volume processing facility operating efficiently throughout the night.What's on offerPermanent full time positionSunday to Thursday roster10:30pm - 7:00amCompetitive hourly rate in line with the site Enterprise Agreement30% night shift loadingWeekend penalties and overtime availableStable long-term employment with an industry leaderSupportive maintenance teamModern manufacturing environmentAbout the roleYour responsibilities will include:Responding to machinery breakdownsPreventative and scheduled maintenanceFault finding across production equipmentMachinery setup and adjustmentsFabrication and welding (Oxy, Arc & TIG)Pneumatic and hydraulic maintenanceRecording maintenance activitiesAssisting with continuous improvement and maintenance projectsWorking safely within food manufacturing standardsExperience within food manufacturing or the meat processing industry will be highly regarded but is not essential.About youTrade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Fitter or similarExperience maintaining manufacturing or processing equipmentStrong fault-finding abilityWelding and fabrication experienceKnowledge of pneumatics and hydraulicsAbility to work independently on night shiftStrong commitment to workplace safetyWhy apply?
