Our focus is on Pork, Beef, and Veal, which are supplied through 5 different brands.Pacific Meat Sales is seeking an experienced and reliable Maintenance Fitter to join our team in the meat industry.This role is suited to someone who has strong mechanical knowledge, excellent fault-finding skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing workplace.About the Role:As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a wide range of mechanical equipment used in our meat processing operations.
Your role will be vital in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and minimal downtime of our production lines.Key Responsibilities:Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on production machinery and equipmentDiagnose and repair mechanical faults in a timely mannerMaintain equipment to meet safety, quality, and operational standardsAssist with the installation, modification,



and improvement of plant and equipmentEnsure all maintenance work is completed in line with workplace health and safety requirementsWork closely with production and management teams to minimise downtimeMaintain accurate maintenance records where requiredSupport a clean, safe, and compliant work environmentRequirements:Trade qualification as a Fitter, Maintenance Fitter, or similarExperience in the meat, food manufacturing, or processing industry preferredStrong mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic fault-finding skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood communication and problem-solving skillsCommitment to workplace health and safetyFlexibility to assist with breakdowns and maintenance requirements as neededWelding and fabrication experience highly regardedWhat We OfferStable employment with an established meat industry businessSupportive team environmentVaried maintenance work across plant and equipmentOpportunity to contribute to continuous improvement and operational efficiencyApplicants must have the right to work in Australia.
