Our high-performance re-engineering process both restores original components and improves specification/longevity, thereby increasing asset life.Our Port Adelaide site is seeking a trade qualified Refrigeration Technician/Supervisor to join our growing global team, as we take on new projects and expand our services.This position will involve:Working on the maintenance of rail air-conditioning units (HVAC)Dismantling HVAC units (including degas) and cleaning componentsCopper brazing including compressor installation and the installation of other main componentsClean, pressure test and recharge the refrigeration systemTesting of HVAC units (Incoming and Outgoing)Maintain refrigerant handling reports for ARCEnsuring parts are on-hand and ordered for all workManual Handling – using hand tools, hoists and trolleysAssembling unitsParticipating in pre-work briefings and proactively making suggestions for improvementTo be considered for the role,



you will hold the following skills and experience:Certificate III in Air Conditioning & RefrigerationRail Air-conditioning experience and knowledge would be an advantageA current Refrigerant Handling Licence or willing to obtainAbility to lead a small teamHave a keen eye for detailAbility to recognise and solve service/maintenance problemsThe experience to complete assigned tasks on time and to a high qualityCurrent Electrical B Class Licence or higherOur workshops must deliver repaired and overhauled train HVAC units to clients on time with rapid turnaround, whilst maintaining impeccable product quality.ART recognises that Equal Employment Opportunity is a matter of employment obligation, social justice, and legal responsibility.
