We're expanding and seeking a Development Coordinator to help manage existing and new projects for people with high needs disability.

About the Role
In this hands on role, you will be responsible for coordinating existing and new build projects from initial scope to handover and defects period that provides fit for purpose tenanted housing to people with high needs disability.




The role is also responsible for identifying suitable housing development opportunities and undertaking feasibility studies to determine financial, environmental, and social sustainability.
Key responsibilities include:
Identifying potential properties according to the needs of potential clients.
Coordinating the preconstruction process including but not limited to demolitions, subdivision, development applications/approvals and permits.
Working with family/guardian to finalise appropriate designs and locations.
Formulating the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and the final agreement between A2P and the tenant.
Arranging all after build A2P responsibilities, additional works (fencing, landscaping, clotheslines, letterboxes, blinds, services, insurance etc).
Liaising with the SDA and managing the process for final accreditation.
Developing concept plans alongside consultants/designers and present to the Property Committee and Board.
Coordinating the building tender process.
Coordinating the entire building process with selected builder.
Conducting final inspection of properties and working with the builder to complete defects list, signing off on 90 day building defect fixes.
Conducting monthly inspections and/or progress claim checks on properties.
Arranging market rent/property valuations with external bodies.
What We Are Looking For
We're looking for a detailed-oriented,



organised individual who excels with communication and negotiating with a range of key stakeholders.
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
Excellent communication and negotiating skills and experience in liaising with consultants and stakeholders
Project management experience
Excellent written communication and reporting skills.
Expertise in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
Experience contributing to budget development and asset management processes.
High level of personal motivation and initiative.
Highly organised with the ability to work under pressure, manage priorities and meet strict deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
A capacity to work with members of the A2P our team, clients, staff and volunteers with warmth and empathy to project our values of A2P in all that they do.
Previous experience in property development beneficial.
Desirable
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) knowledge or experience
A trade background or relevant construction industry experience
Experience working in the disability and/or community housing sector.
Knowledge and understanding of the NDIS.
Relevant tertiary qualifications are highly regarded.
