Senior Manager – Internal Audit & Assurance

We are seeking
an experienced Senior Manager
with a strong and well-rounded internal audit background to lead engagements and deliver outcomes.
This role is
dedicated to delivering risk-based internal audit and assurance engagements for government clients.
We are open to either an immediate or forward-looking start date.
Location can be in either Canberra, ACT (Barton Office) or Melbourne, VIC (Southbank Office).

Senior Managers
in our
Internal Audit and Assurance team
have responsibility for delivering high-impact engagements.
They bring the
technical depth and structure,
have
commercial awareness
and are
trusted advisors
that confidently engage with stakeholders on all levels including senior executives.
Senior Managers are
accomplished in leading large engagements or multiple concurrent engagements
, and take ownership of the planning,



delivery, and quality - ensuring risks and budgets are well managed and outcomes are successful.
Beyond engagements
, Senior Managers coach and develop team members, strengthen client relationships, and help shape strategies that deliver sustainable impact.
You have a collaborative and proactive leadership style, and you are commercially aware – enabling you to positively influence both our clients and the future of our firm.
About You
You are an internal audit & assurance SME.
Your capability is in risk-based auditing and control assessment including compliance and performance audits.
You're comfortable managing and leading full cycle audits to ensure high-quality outcomes are achieved.
This will include doing the planning, fieldwork, reviewing and reporting.
Skills and experience include:
8+ years of experience delivering internal audit services and assurance services
Qualifications such as undergraduate or post graduate degree (Commerce, Accounting or Finance desirable, all degrees considered)
Qualified certifications like CA, CPA, CIA, CISA
Solid experience working with the Commonwealth government sector
Full-circle experience planning, delivering and leading audit and assurance services
Experience converting pipeline into active work & supporting proposal development
Exceptional communication and influencing skills – able to advise and challenge




Exceptional time management and analytical skills
Strong ability to build effective relationships with clients and your colleagues
Hold an AGSVA Baseline (minimum) security clearance - must be an Australian Citizen
