As a Therapeutic Youth Worker, you will provide trauma-informed care and support to children and young people living in residential care who have experienced trauma, abuse, and neglect.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will help create a safe, stable, and nurturing setting where young people can build resilience, develop life skills, and achieve positive outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild safe, therapeutic relationships with children and young people.Provide daily care, household support, transport, and routine activities.Support education, appointments, employment, and community participation.Implement therapeutic care plans, behaviour support strategies, and safety plans.Respond to complex behaviours using trauma-informed and de-escalation practices.Administer medication and maintain accurate documentation.Collaborate with families, Child Safety, schools, and allied professionals.Promote the safety, wellbeing, and cultural identity of every young person.About YouExperience supporting children, young people,
