As part of our Allied Health team, you will join a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment focused on helping people communicate, connect and live more independently.
This chance is available on either a full-time or part-time basis and offers robust clinical support, professional development and flexible working arrangements.
You will be supported to deliver evidence-based, person-centred therapy across homes, schools, workplaces, community settings and our hubs.
About the Role
As a SensesWA Orthoptist, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based services to children, adolescents and adults with a range of developmental needs, with opportunity and support to develop proficiency in combined vision and hearing loss.
SensesWA's Deafblind team is Australia's pre-eminent allied health service provider for people living with some combined degree of vision and hearing loss, and we are always on the lookout for rare and unique allied health therapists to join our team.
This in-clinic and community-based role offers variety,



flexibility and the opportunity to grow your clinical skills within a collaborative allied health environment.
You will have the flexibility to work across paediatric and adult caseloads, with a wide range of conditions.
If you already have some experience in vision or hearing related services and are looking for further career development into a specialty field, this is a genuine opportunity to grow into a unique and highly regarded area of allied health.
This role includes some parental leave cover, and is available as either a part-time permanent position, or a full-time fixed-term contract covering parental leave.
The start date is immediate, to allow time for a supported handover.

You will bring a person-centred and collaborative approach, strong clinical reasoning skills and a passion for supporting positive outcomes for people with disability and their families.
Along with the Essential Requirements outlined below.
Essential Requirements
Tertiary qualification in Orthoptics
Current Australian Orthoptic Board Registration
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients, families and multidisciplinary teams
Previous experience working with people with disability is highly desirable, but not essential
Current WA Driver's Licence
Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening and First Aid Certificate
Valid Australian working rights
