We are looking for shift Extrusion OperatorReporting to the Production Manager:Set, maintain and monitor machine to make sure it is functioning properlySet machinery ensuring all specifications are monitored and maintained throughout the processTake corrective action immediately if any machine or quality problems ariseProvide feedback when prescribed time frames are not metConsistently ensure all OH&S; and housekeeping procedures are completedMonitor waste and attempt to keep under allowable limitsQualificationsExperienced Extruder OperatorMinimum 1-2 years of plastic extruder operator experience requiredAble to work "4-on/4-off" 12 hours rotating shiftsMechanical aptitude, solve problems and machine troubleshootingAbility to handle high-pressure workplace and can work as part of a team and with little supervisionUnderstanding of and commitment to safe work techniques and practicesA good understanding of HACCP and Food Safety requirements.Demonstrated practical application of HACCP knowledge requiredHold a Fork Lift licenseDisplay a strong commitment to safetyBe self-motivatedHave a willingness to learn all aspects of the job
