Our team values integrity, continuous learning and delivering exceptional client service.As we continue to grow, we're looking for a motivated Junior Accountant who is eager to build a long-term career in public practice.About the RoleWorking closely with our senior accountants and directors, you'll gain hands-on experience across tax, accounting and business advisory while managing your own portfolio of clients with support and guidance.Your responsibilities will include:Preparing individual, company, trust and partnership income tax returnsPreparing financial statements and working papersPreparing BAS and IASReconciling accounts using XeroAssisting with payroll, GST and FBT complianceBookkeeping records and communicating with clients to resolve queriesLiaising with the ATO on client matters where requiredSupporting tax planning and year-end compliance workAssisting with business advisory engagementsMaintaining accurate client records and ensuring lodgement deadlines are metProviding exceptional client service and building strong client relationshipsAbout YouWe're looking for someone who has:1–2 years' experience in an Australian public practice accounting firmA Bachelor of Accounting, Commerce or equivalent qualificationCommenced or intends to commence CPA or CA studiesA sound understanding of Australian taxation legislation and accounting standardsStrong attention to detail and excellent organisational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative teamA positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow professionallyExperience preparing Australian income tax returnsKnowledge of Australian taxation and accounting standardsExperience preparing BAS and IASProficiency in XeroAbility to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise workloadExperience with:DextBGL or Class SuperProperty investor clientsSmall business clientsWhat We OfferCPA/CA study supportOngoing mentoring from experienced Directors and Senior AccountantsExposure to a diverse range of clients and industriesTraining in tax, business advisory and cloud accountingGenuine career progression opportunitiesFlexible full-time or part time arrangementsFriendly, supportive and collaborative team culture
