Whether they're joining us for a long lunch, celebrating their wedding day or staying on the estate, first impressions matter.We're looking for an experienced Estate Gardener to take ownership of the presentation and ongoing enhancement of our 100-acre estate.This is a unique chance for someone who enjoys working independently, takes genuine pride in their work and wants to make a lasting contribution to one of Orange's leading wine tourism destinations.About the RoleReporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the presentation, maintenance and continual improvement of the estate's gardens and grounds.As Rowlee's Estate Gardener, you'll enjoy a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
You'll plan your own work, manage competing priorities and take ownership of ensuring the estate is presented to an exceptional standard throughout the seasons.Your responsibilities will include:Maintaining ornamental gardens, lawns, hedges, trees and landscaped areas across the estateEnsuring guest arrival areas, pathways and outdoor spaces are beautifully presented at all timesPlanning and undertaking seasonal planting and landscape improvement projectsPruning, mulching, fertilising and weed managementMonitoring and maintaining irrigation systemsOperating, maintaining and caring for garden machinery and equipmentPreparing the estate for weddings,
events and seasonal guest experiencesIdentifying opportunities to continually improve the presentation of the propertySupporting sustainable gardening and environmental initiativesWorking collaboratively with the wider Rowlee team while confidently managing your own workload and prioritiesAbout YouYou're someone who notices the details others overlook.You enjoy working outdoors, take pride in creating beautiful spaces and thrive in a role where you're trusted to manage your own work.You'll bring:Experience in horticulture, gardening, landscaping or estate maintenanceThe ability to work independently and confidently manage your own workloadStrong self-leadership, initiative and personal accountabilityExcellent planning, organisational and time management skillsAn exceptional eye for detail and presentationPride in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor environmentsPhysical fitness and the ability to work outdoors throughout the yearA current Australian Driver Licence (manual licence preferred)A qualification in horticulture or a related field (desirable but not essential)Why Join Rowlee?
