About the Role
As a Utility Locator, you will be responsible for accurately locating and marking underground services before excavation works take place. You'll work across a variety of projects, ensuring secure excavation practices while delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities
Locate and mark underground utilities, including power, gas, water, communications and sewer.
Interpret DBYD plans and utility service plans.
Use electromagnetic locating equipment and GPR where required.
Complete accurate field reports and documentation.
Liaise professionally with clients, contractors and asset owners.
Follow Australian Standards and company procedures.
Maintain company vehicles and equipment.
Work safely while upholding ECLS's commitment to quality and customer service.
About You
Reliable, honest and self-motivated.

Safety-focused with excellent attention to detail.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Professional with strong communication skills.
Willing to learn and develop within the industry.
Essential Requirements
Current Australian Driver Licence (HR Licence highly regarded).
White Card.
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.
Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Desirable
Previous experience as a Utility Locator.
Experience with electromagnetic locating equipment and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR).
