We're creating a welcoming local meeting place where great food, great coffee and great conversation bring people together.If you're passionate about food, take pride in consistency, and enjoy being part of a close-knit team, we'd love to hear from you.About The RoleAs a Chef / Cook at Nosey Neighbour Café, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality food and helping create an exceptional experience for our guests.Your responsibilities will include:Preparing and cooking menu items to a consistently high standardMaintaining food quality and presentation during busy service periodsFollowing food safety and hygiene standardsManaging prep and stock rotationAssisting with ordering and inventory controlOperating and maintaining bain-marie service and hot-holding equipment where requiredWorking collaboratively with the front-of-house teamContributing ideas and helping us continue to improveWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who is:Reliable and punctualPositive and team-focusedOrganised and able to work efficiently under pressurePassionate about quality food and presentationCommitted to maintaining a clean and safe kitchenAble to communicate effectively with both BOH and FOH teamsHolds a current driver's licence and has their own reliable vehicleExperience & QualificationsPreferred experience includes:Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a café, restaurant or hospitality venueMinimum of 2+ years cooking experience is required for this roleUnderstanding of food safety and hygiene requirementsExperience working in fast-paced service environmentsAbility to multitask and prioritise effectivelyExperience operating bain-marie service and maintaining food quality in a hot-holding environment (highly regarded)Relevant food safety qualifications are highly regarded.Food safety qualifications must be obtained within 30 days of commencement if not already held.Australian citizenship is required for this positionWhy Join Nosey Neighbour?
