We are committed to safety, operational excellence, collaboration, and creating workplaces where people feel supported to grow and succeed.Purpose of the RoleBGIS is seeking an experienced Asset Manager to lead strategic asset maintenance, lifecycle planning, compliance, and planned preventative maintenance programs across a large, high-profile and fast-moving operational site in Melbourne's north.Reporting directly to the Account Manager, you will work closely with operational teams, contractors, and client stakeholders to ensure assets are maintained safely, efficiently, and in line with operational and legislative requirements.This role suits someone who enjoys balancing long-term planning with day-to-day operational responsiveness.
You will thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift quickly, stakeholder requests may arise at short notice, and collaboration across teams is essential.
The ideal candidate will be adaptable, solutions-focused, approachable, and confident building trusted working relationships while maintaining strong attention to detail and accountability.Key ResponsibilitiesManage strategic asset management, lifecycle,



and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programsMaintain and improve the site asset register, asset condition reporting, and lifecycle planning activitiesAnalyse asset performance data and provide recommendations to improve reliability, compliance, sustainability, and whole-of-life outcomesCoordinate maintenance planning, contractor activities, audits, and compliance requirements across the siteSupport the delivery of annual and 5-year capital works planning programsProvide technical guidance and support to operational teams and stakeholdersDevelop management plans, contract documentation, procurement activities, and maintenance strategiesEnsure compliance with ISO, OH&S;, statutory, and environmental requirementsBuild strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, and client representatives to support shared operational outcomesEducation, Experience & SkillsEssentialDemonstrated experience in Asset Management, Facilities Management, Engineering, or Technical Services environmentsExperience managing large and complex asset portfolios, maintenance programs, or operational infrastructureKnowledge of lifecycle planning, compliance frameworks, capital works, and maintenance strategiesStrong analytical and reporting capability, including experience interpreting asset performance dataExperience using CMMS platforms, asset management systems,



and Microsoft O365 applicationsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to remain organised and adaptable within reactive operational environmentsTertiary qualification or technical trade qualification in Engineering, Asset Management, or Technical Services preferredDesirableExperience within complex or high-volume operational environmentsFacilities Management experienceKnowledge of ISO ***** frameworksProject management or capital delivery experienceExperience working within integrated services or property environmentsWorkplace FlexibilityThis position is based full time onsite in Epping, with adaptable start and finish times available within core business hours.
