Are you an experienced qualified Diesel Mechanic looking for a secure, long-term role with one of Australia's leading national freight businesses?

We are seeking a motivated and reliable mechanic to join our onsite maintenance team, keeping a large fleet operating safely and efficiently.

About the Role

Working in a busy freight and transport environment, you'll be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and repairing heavy vehicles and equipment to ensure maximum fleet availability.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who takes pride in their workmanship and enjoys working as part of a skilled maintenance team.

Your Responsibilities
Carry out servicing and preventative maintenance on heavy vehicles
Diagnose and repair diesel engine faults
Complete mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs
Perform safety inspections and defect reporting




Maintain workshop cleanliness and safety standards
Work efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime

What You'll Need
Fully qualified Diesel Mechanic (Trade Qualified)
Previous experience working on heavy diesel vehicles
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Robust diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Commitment to workplace safety
Reliable, punctual and professional attitude

Working Hours

This role requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, including:
Early morning starts
Afternoon and evening finishes
Overtime when required
