About the Opportunity
Xact Accounting
is seeking a full-time
Business Services Manager (internally known as an Associate Client Director)
to join our growing Compliance Division.
Reporting to a Client Director
, you'll manage your own portfolio of clients while leading client relationships, reviewing technical work, mentoring team members and contributing to the continued growth of the business.
This
role can be based remotely
from anywhere in QLD, NSW or Victoria,
with occasional travel to Brisbane as required
.
If you're based in Brisbane, this will be a hybrid offering with 3 days in office and 2 days WFH.
More specifically, you will:
Managing a portfolio of business advisory and compliance clients
Building trusted relationships with business owners
Leading and mentoring onshore and offshore team members
Reviewing taxation and compliance work to a high standard
Managing workflow, budgets and client profitability
Conducting client reviews and identifying advisory opportunities
Converting qualified inbound enquiries into long-term clients
Supporting the ongoing development of your team

About You
To be considered, you'll hold
CA or CPA qualifications (CA preferred)
together with
at least seven years' experience in Australian Public Practice
,



including previous management experience.
You'll also bring robust client relationship skills, the ability to manage your own portfolio and confidence leading people in a fast-paced environment.
The following experience will be highly regarded:
Xero and Xero Practice Manager (XPM)
Robust taxation and compliance knowledge
Commercial awareness and business development capability
Experience mentoring or leading teams
Exposure to the building and construction sector (desirable)
Above all, you're an ambitious relationship-builder who enjoys working autonomously, embraces innovation and wants to build a long-term leadership career rather than simply manage compliance.
