We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Area Manager to join our growing team.
As Area Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational and strategic management of multiple childcare and outside school hours care facilities within your designated area.
This role is crucial to ensuring we deliver exceptional care and education services whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and quality across all our services.What you'll be doingOversee the day-to-day operations of multiple childcare centres, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulationsManage centre performance against key performance indicators and strategic objectivesRecruit, train, develop and support centre managers and staff across the area, fostering a culture of continuous improvementConduct regular centre visits and quality audits to maintain service standards and identify areas for enhancementManage budgets and financial performance for assigned centres, optimising resources and controlling costsBuild and maintain robust relationships with families, local communities, and stakeholdersEnsure all centres maintain up-to-date documentation, policies and procedures in line with organisational standardsManage health and safety compliance, incident reporting and risk management across all facilitiesDrive quality improvements and implement best practice initiatives across the areaSupport centre managers in curriculum development and educational programmingManage staffing issues, performance management and professional development programmesLiaise with external agencies, government bodies and regulatory authorities as requiredWhat we're looking forMinimum 1 year experience in childcare or education sector management,
with demonstrated experience managing multiple servicesStrong knowledge of current childcare legislation, regulations and quality standards including the National Quality Standard (NQS) and Education and Care Services National Law and RegulationsProven leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teamsExcellent financial acumen and experience with budget management and P&L; responsibilitiesDemonstrated experience in quality improvement and implementing best practice initiativesStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsExperience with childcare management systems and Microsoft Office applicationsCurrent Working with Children Check (WWCC) or ability to obtain oneCurrent driver's licence and reliable transportRelevant qualifications such as a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Childcare, Early Childhood Education or equivalent industry experienceA genuine passion for early childhood education and care excellenceWhat we offerWe are committed to supporting the professional growth and wellbeing of our team members.
