About the role As a Work Health & Safety Advisor at HelloFresh, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees across various operational sites.
Your primary focus will be to develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies that align with regulatory requirements and best practices.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-paced and innovative environment.Key factsLocation: Sydney, New South Wales, AustraliaEngagement: Full time, permanent positionSalary: Competitive salary commensurate with experienceVisa: Sponsorship available for the right candidateWhat you'll doDevelop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures tailored to the operational needs of HelloFresh.Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.Provide expert guidance and support to management and employees on health and safety matters, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards.Facilitate training sessions and workshops to educate staff on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Investigate workplace incidents and accidents,
documenting findings and recommending improvements to prevent future occurrences.Collaborate with HR to ensure that health and safety considerations are integrated into employee onboarding and ongoing training programs.Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics, preparing reports for management to track progress and identify areas for improvement.Stay updated on changes in health and safety legislation and best practices, ensuring that HelloFresh remains compliant and proactive in its safety initiatives.Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies and external safety consultants to ensure adherence to legal requirements and industry standards.Promote a positive safety culture within the organization by encouraging employee participation in safety committees and initiatives.Assist in the development of emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness for potential incidents.Support the continuous improvement of health and safety practices through feedback and innovative solutions.RequirementsA degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.A minimum of 3 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably within a warehouse or logistics environment.Strong knowledge of Australian health and safety legislation and regulations.Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and safety audits.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive safety improvements.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.Certification in Work Health and Safety (WHS) or equivalent is highly desirable.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‐paced environment.A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement in safety practices.Nice to haveExperience in the food production or delivery industry is a plus.Familiarity with ISO ***** or other safety management systems.Previous experience in incident investigation and reporting.Knowledge of ergonomics and workplace design principles.Additional certifications in First Aid or CPR.Skills & toolsStrong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.Excellent presentation skills for delivering training and safety briefings.Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse teams.Proficient in using safety management software and tools for tracking incidents and compliance.Familiarity with data analysis tools to assess safety performance metrics.Practical notesThe role is based in Sydney, New South Wales, and may require occasional travel to other operational sites.Flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate training sessions and safety audits.Candidates must be eligible to work in Australia; visa sponsorship is available for the right individual.
