Axis Imaging is seeking a Sonographer on a casual basis to join our medical imaging team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on Saturdays in a agile healthcare environment at our Mickleham VIC **** location.
As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations and producing high-quality diagnostic images to support clinical decision-making.
This role is crucial in delivering excellent patient care and contributing to accurate diagnoses within our imaging centre.Key responsibilitiesPerforming a range of ultrasound examinations across various anatomical areas, including abdominal, obstetric, gynaecological, vascular and musculoskeletal imagingOperating and maintaining ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal image quality and patient safetyPositioning patients appropriately and explaining procedures to ensure comfort and cooperationRecording and documenting patient information and examination findings accuratelyCommunicating effectively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals regarding examination resultsMaintaining strict adherence to infection control protocols and patient confidentiality standardsContributing to a positive team environment and supporting colleagues when requiredEnsuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and workplace safety requirementsWhat we're looking forCurrent registration with the Australian Society of Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM)
