The Institute for Public Policy and Governance (IPPG) is an independent, interdisciplinary research and consulting organisation at UTS, delivering applied research, policy expertise, and professional education to support better public sector and industry decision-making.
IPPG hosts the Centre for Local Government (CLG) – since **** committed to partnering with local councils to deliver quality programs and services, enhanced leadership capabilities and improved financial sustainability.
About the role
We have an opportunity for a Manager, Advisory Services in IPPG- to help lead the development and delivery of externally funded research and consultancy projects.
The role is responsible for taking a leading or key supporting role in individual projects to ensure delivery on time, within budget and to a high standard for clients across government, industry and community sectors.
Key responsibilities include developing competitive tenders and proposals, managing client and stakeholder relationships at a senior level, contributing to, or leading, multidisciplinary project teams, and producing clear, evidence-based reports and recommendations on time and on budget.
The role also contributes to the strategic direction, growth and sustainability of IPPG through business development, capability building, impactful research and support for UTS **** priorities.
About You
You are an experienced professional in public policy,



programs and/or evaluation, with a strong track record in delivering high-quality research, analysis and reports.
You bring skills in project management and the capacity to work in commercial consulting environment.
You are confident engaging with team members and clients including at a senior level, representing organisations externally, and building strong, cooperative relationships across teams and partners.
Other requirements include:
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent
Demonstrated expertise and experience in two or more of the following:
Public sector strategy and policy development
Policy, regulatory, institutional and/or structural reform
Economic and financial analysis, and/or statistical analysis
Social policy research and analysis
Community engagement and consultation
Evaluation and applied program and service reviews
Project management, governance and risk
Organisational design and change management.
Knowledge of tendering and competitive bid processes.
What We Offer
Base Salary Range: $145,746 plus 17% superannuation (pension)
The position is full-time and will be made on a continuing basis.
