North Stradbroke Island Aboriginal & Islander Housing Co-operative Society Ltd – Dunwich QLDNorth Stradbroke Island Aboriginal & Islander Housing Co-operative Society Ltd is seeking an experienced Clinical Care Managerto join our healthcare team on North Stradbroke Island, QLD ****.
This is a 9 month fixed-term contract position that plays a vital role in delivering high-quality clinical care and support to our aged care residents.
As Clinical Care Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing clinical operations, ensuring compliance with aged care standards, and leading a dedicated team to provide compassionate, person-centred care to vulnerable populations within our community.
This position is integral to our mission of providing safe, respectful, and culturally appropriate aged care services to Aboriginal and Islander communities.Key responsibilitiesOversee daily clinical operations and ensure delivery of high-quality aged care services in compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory standardsLead, supervise, and mentor nursing and care staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative team environmentDevelop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and protocols that prioritise resident safety, dignity, and wellbeingAssess and monitor resident health status, developing and reviewing individualised care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals and residents' familiesManage medication administration, clinical documentation, and health records in accordance with legislation and best practice standardsConduct regular quality audits and incident reporting to identify areas for improvement and ensure continuous enhancement of care standardsLiaise with external healthcare providers, medical practitioners,



and allied health professionals to coordinate comprehensive careSupport staff training and professional development in aged care practices, infection control, and cultural competencyAdvocate for resident needs and ensure culturally sensitive care that respects Aboriginal and Islander values and traditionsManage budget allocation for clinical resources and equipment while maintaining cost-effectivenessWhat we're looking forRegistered Nurse (RN) qualification with current registration and in good standing with relevant nursing regulatory bodiesMinimum 5 years' experience in aged care nursing, with proven experience in a clinical leadership or management roleStrong knowledge of aged care legislation, standards, and regulatory requirements including the Aged Care Quality StandardsDemonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate nursing and care staff in a team environmentExcellent clinical skills and sound clinical judgement in assessing and managing complex care needsProficiency in health information systems and electronic medical record documentation including Autumn Care and RiskmanStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, staff, and external healthcare providersCommitment to culturally respectful care and demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal and Islander health needs and perspectivesCurrent First Aid and CPR certificationExperience in infection control,
