This project will strengthen wharves, install massive piles, and construct heavy-duty slabs and pavements in preparation for one of the most significant offshore transitions in decades, and this project is the foundation that makes it possible.This is your chance to join a project that blends scale, complexity, and innovation, where every detail matters and every role makes an impact.We are building a team and central to this project is an experienced HSE Advisor to join our team and support the delivery of safe, compliant, and high-performing operations on the Barry Beach Marine Terminal upgrade.
This role is critical in promoting a strong safety culture, implementing HSEQ systems, and ensuring compliance with Victorian legislative requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesPromote and reinforce a robust safety culture through visible presence on site and proactive support to supervisors and subcontractors.Implement and continuously improve WHS and environmental management systems.Facilitate risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for high-risk activities.Prepare and review Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), work plans, and procedures.Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs.Ensure timely reporting and escalation of incidents, injuries, and near misses.Collaborate with Project Managers, Site Managers, and subcontractors to ensure compliance and best practice safety standards.Contribute to audits, investigations,



and continuous improvement initiatives.About YouEssential Qualifications & ExperienceCertificate IV in WHS/OHS (minimum).
Minimum 3 years in an HSEQ advisory role.At least 2 years' experience in the construction industry.Strong knowledge of Victorian WHS legislation and Australian Standards.Current First Aid certification.System savvyCert IV Training & Assessment.High Risk Work License and Working at Heights certification.Skills & AttributesExcellent communication skills with an ability to demonstrate independence and initiative in completing tasksExcellent interpersonal skills of a collaborative style that achieves trust and influences behavioursSound proficiency with word processing and IT platforms to develop high standard technical, policy and procedure documentationAbility to read and understand construction documents including but not limited to drawings, specifications and reportsGood knowledge of safe industry practices, building codes, Australian Standards, the safe use of construction equipment, materials, tools and plant and their associated risksDemonstrated experience in the management and implementation of OHS, Environmental and Quality SystemsAbility to work under pressure, be self-motivated and adaptable to changeExcellent time management and prioritisation skillsWhy Join Us?
