We're seeking someone with supply chain expertise, initiative, resilience and a genuine commitment to progressing within Inghams.Daily tasksManage the day-to-day operations of the DC, providing support to the DC Manager as requiredFoster a proactive culture within the facility, making safety a top priorityBuild and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, both internal and external, based on mutual respect and commitment to deliver exceptional service on time sensitive supply chain deadlinesEngage and motivate your team through effective people management strategiesLead, coach and develop a high performing operations team, ensuring compliance to all policies and procedures, providing clear expectations, ongoing feedback and supportEfficient resource allocation ensuring labour, equipment and transport are utilised to maximise both safety and profitability while meeting the customers' needsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimisation and cost reductionAnalyse of data and performance metrics to drive and embed continuous improvementImplement strategic initiatives to optimise the overall value of the business and contribute to its growth and successEstablish and ensure maintenance programmes are carried outManage the day-day warehouse operations independently to ensure tasks are carried out efficientlyEnsure consistent demonstration of guiding principles, behaviours and Inghams valuesYou will bring to this roleSignificant experience in managing warehouse and distribution centres within an FMCG environment with a proven track record of achieving positive operational outcomesExcellent knowledge of supply chain logistics within an FMCG workplace including demonstrable understanding of Cold Chain Operations, Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCPProven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives including knowledge of 5S, Total Productive Manufacturing, LEAN/Six SigmaWillingness to take initiative and drive results to ensure business KPIs are met and exceeded whilst upholding the highest levels of safety and customer serviceStrong people leadership and engagement skills with the ability to build a collaborative working environmentStrong analytical skills with effective P&L; and budget management skillsStrong communication skills with the ability to communicate cross functionally to build strong relationships and influence key stakeholdersAbility to work under pressure to meet deadlines and adapt in a dynamic business environmentOn call availability (24/7) to support the team when requiredWe're looking for people who arecurious, caring, courageous and committed to join us; people who want to contribute their best work every single dayand continue delivering deliciously good food that's...Always Good!
