The role will focus on improving systems, strengthening processes and controls, and providing greater visibility across the function.You will partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Merchandise, Procurement and Supply Chain, giving you broad exposure across the organisation and the opportunity to deliver meaningful financial and operational improvements.This role would suit someone who enjoys combining team leadership with commercial problem-solving and wants the autonomy to influence how a function develops.The ChallengeReporting to the Group Shared Services Manager, some of your key responsibilities will include:Managing the end-to-end supplier rebate process, including accrual setup, tracking, forecasting, reconciliation and collectionReviewing and maintaining supplier contracts,



translating commercial terms into measurable rebate calculations and monitoring complianceValidating supplier rebate calculations against purchasing data and performance metricsIdentifying missed income and financial leakage while improving rebate recovery across categories and suppliersReporting on rebate performance, variances and financial risk exposurePartnering with Commercial Finance, Merchandise, Procurement, Supply Chain and suppliers to resolve discrepancies and disputesLeading the wider team while improving rebate management systems, controls, reporting and automation across the functionThe ExpertiseTo be successful in this role, you will bring the following:Minimum five years' experience across rebates, financial accounting or transactional financeExperience managing complex supplier rebates and interpreting commercial agreementsBachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or a related fieldCA/CPA qualification preferredAdvanced Excel and strong analytical capabilityDemonstrated systems and process improvement experienceExperience leading a finance team and managing stakeholdersThe Next StepAbout ThompsonCookAt ThompsonCook we develop strong relationships with top accounting and finance professionals across Australia.
