A government facility on the Bellarine Peninsula is offering leadership opportunities in our Technical and Facilities Services team.
We are seeking experienced and customer-focused leaders to oversee management of Technical and Facilities services across a complex portfolio.
These roles will be responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, efficient and cost-effective operation of building, infrastructure and grounds services, with a strong focus on technical and planned maintenance, contractor management, compliance and stakeholder engagement.Applicants are required to progress through a rigorous recruitment process, including interview and psychometric testing.Key Responsibilities and Tasks:Manage the day-to-day facilities operations across the portfolioOversee planned and reactive maintenance activitiesManage contractors, vendors and service providers to ensure works are completed safely, on time and to standardEnsure compliance with WHS, statutory, legislative and policy requirementsMonitor performance and identify opportunities for improvementOversee budgeting, forecasting, purchase order, invoicing and cost controlConduct site inspections and manage any risks, defects or maintenance issuesBuild strong relationships with contractors and stakeholdersLead projects,



upgrades and lifecycle works as requiredMaintain accurate records, reports, compliance documentation and maintenance schedulesEducation, Qualification and Experience Requirements:Demonstrated experience in facilities management, technical building services, engineering or estate management within a complex operational environment.Strong technical understanding across areas such as HVAC, electrical, fire systems, CCTV, Electronic Access control, grounds and buildings managementExperience managing contractors and planned/reactive maintenance programsStrong knowledge of WHS, risk, compliance and statutory requirementsExcellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skillsStrong financial and administrative capability, including budgets, project administration and reportingTrade, engineering, facilities management, technologist or building services qualifications highly regardedCandidates would be expected to work independently or under broad direction, exercising sound skilled judgement to undertake complex decision making in regard to detailed projects and stakeholder management in a leadership capacity.
