Care Workers & Assistants in Nursing (AINs) - Forster / TareeAged & Disability Support (Community Services & Development)Flexible Rostering AvailableNewcastle & District Nursing Service (NDNS) is seeking compassionate and reliable Care Workers and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to join our Community Care Team supporting clients throughout Newcastle and surrounding areas.About the RoleAs an AIN or Community Care Worker, you will provide person-centred support to older Australians in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.Key ResponsibilitiesPersonal care including showering, dressing, grooming and toileting assistanceMobility assistance and transfersMedication reminders and prompts in accordance with care plans and organisational policiesContinence support and catheter bag care in accordance with training and competency requirementsDomestic assistance and light household dutiesSocial support and community accessAccurate documentation and progress notesReporting changes in client wellbeing to the care teamBuilding positive and supportive relationships with clients and their familiesCertificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or equivalent)



or Assistant in Nursing qualificationCurrent First Aid and CPR CertificateNDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)Current Australian Driver LicenceReliable motor vehicle with comprehensive insuranceSmartphone and basic computer skillsStrong communication skills and a commitment to person-centred careMinimum of 6 months experience in aged care, disability support or similar community care roleAbout YouYou are caring, reliable and motivated to make a positive difference in people's lives.
