About the role

Optus is seeking a Security Platform Engineer specializing in Secrets Management. This position is integral to the management and improvement of our enterprise secrets management and tokenization platform. The engineer will play a key role in minimizing security vulnerabilities by removing hardcoded credentials and facilitating secure access to secrets through automation.

What you'll do
Operate and enhance the secrets management and tokenization platform.
Implement solutions to eliminate hardcoded credentials and improve secure access to sensitive information.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure best practices in security are maintained.
Monitor and analyze security incidents related to secrets management.

Requirements
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a security engineering role.
Proficiency in managing secrets management tools and tokenization technologies.
Robust understanding of security principles and practices,



particularly in the context of cloud environments.
Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards.

Nice to have
Experience with DevSecOps practices.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Skills & tools
Secrets management platforms (e.g., HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager).
Tokenization technologies.
Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Security monitoring tools.
