In this rewarding role, you'll provide specialist nursing expertise, clinical leadership and care coordination across acute hospital settings, supporting people experiencing drug and alcohol-related issues.
Working with multidisciplinary teams across the Hunter New England network, you'll play a key role in improving patient outcomes, with a particular focus on young people presenting to emergency and inpatient services.About the RoleAs a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2, you'll provide specialist drug and alcohol care, clinical leadership and care coordination across acute and community settings.In this role, you will:Provide assessment, care planning, case management and withdrawal support.Deliver specialist advice to emergency departments, inpatient units and multidisciplinary teams.Support patients, families and carers through education and advocacy.Build strong partnerships to deliver coordinated care.Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice.Essential RequirementsCurrent registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Relevant post-registration qualifications in the specialty area and a minimum of three years' post-registration experience within the clinical specialty.A current NSW Driver Licence (or eligibility to drive in NSW)
