Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive SurgeonConsultant Plastic and Reconstructive SurgeonOngoing position – 2x all day theatre listsCommencing as soon as possibleParkville location with multiple public transport optionsAbout the teamThe Women's Surgery department is a progressive, multi-disciplinary 24-hour service that work in tandem with the Anaesthetic department to provide a coordinated, multi-disciplinary approach to the surgical patient's care.About the roleThis position is responsible in collaboration with the Clinical Directors and Heads of Unit:Providing high quality outpatient and in-patient surgical servicesParticipation in the provision of emergency/on-call surgical servicesPlaying an active role in training registrars and resident medical officers and participate in the teaching of medical students and other health care trainees attached to the Women's Services.About youMust hold or be eligible for registration with the Medical Practitioners Board of AustraliaFellowship of the Royal Australian College of SurgeonsProven clinical skills and experienceComprehensive skills and experience in provision of clinical careHighly developed verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability in managementDemonstrated research skillsKnowledge of women's health issues in relation to the target population of RWHShortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview.
