Reporting to the General Manager, Social Impact & Partnerships, you will provide strong program leadership and operational accountability, translating strategic priorities into well-structured and deliverable program designs.
You will ensure programs are structured from the outset to meet governance, compliance and accreditation requirements, while maintaining a explicit focus on delivery performance and outcomes.
This is a senior role with accountability for program performance, financial management, risk management and stakeholder outcomes across a range of international programs.Key responsibilities include:Leading the design, implementation and continuous improvement of global health programsStructuring programs to align with donor compliance and accreditation frameworks (including DFAT/ANCP requirements)Managing end-to-end delivery to ensure projects are achieved on time, within scope and budgetManaging program budgets, financial controls, forecasts and contract performanceMonitoring program performance and proactively managing risks, issues and dependenciesEmbedding monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) frameworks into program deliveryBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with ministries of health, hospitals, donors, volunteers and partner organisationsLeading and developing a team of program professionals, with clear accountability and a focus on capability upliftWorking collaboratively across RACS to support integrated fundraising, communications and impact reportingDriving continuous improvement in program design and delivery,

The team delivers programs across the Indo-Pacific region, supporting workforce development, clinical training and health system strengthening.
We work closely with volunteers and partners to achieve sustainable, high-impact outcomes.About YouYou are a senior program leader with extensive experience delivering complex international development or related programs.
You bring a strong balance of strategic thinking, operational discipline and stakeholder engagement.
You will bring:Extensive experience delivering development, social impact or international programs in low- and middle-income countriesStrong understanding of donor compliance and accreditation frameworks (e.g. DFAT/ANCP or equivalent), with the ability to embed these requirements into program design and deliveryDemonstrated experience leading and developing teams in a people management roleStrong capability in program planning, implementation, budgeting and performance managementExperience applying monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) frameworks to inform program decisionsProven ability to manage relationships with government agencies, donors and sector stakeholdersStrong financial and contract management capability within grant-funded or donor-funded environmentsExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsA strong commitment to safeguarding, ethical practice and culturally respectful ways of workingBe careful - Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
