Lead tooling, drive maintenance excellence, and play a key role in keeping our manufacturing operations running efficiently.Pipemakers is seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Leading Hand to join our manufacturing team in Deer Park.This is an exciting chance for a mechanically minded professional who enjoys leading by example, solving technical challenges, and ensuring production equipment operates safely and efficiently.About the RoleReporting to the Maintenance Manager you'll be overseeing maintenance activities to maximise equipment reliability, minimise downtime, and support safe, efficient production.Your responsibilities will include:Conducting preventative maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting on manufacturing equipmentSupervising and supporting the maintenance team to deliver planned and reactive maintenance activitiesUtilise the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to plan, record, and manage maintenance activities.Support engineering projects, equipment installations, and process improvement initiatives as assigned.Monitoring equipment performance and identifying opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and productivityMaintaining tooling, ensuring correct storage, cleanliness and accurate tooling recordsCollaborating with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime and support continuous improvement initiativesOrdering maintenance parts and tooling as required and maintaining maintenance documentationPromoting a strong safety culture through compliance with site procedures, permit systems, LOTO requirements and WHS initiativesAbout YouTo be successful in this role,



you will bring:5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing or plant environments, including 5+ years leading maintenance staff, allocating work, supporting trades or fitters, and coordinating with production on breakdowns and planned maintenanceStrong communication and relationship-building skillsA proactive and safety-focused approachThe ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomouslyStrong organisational and problem-solving skillsProficiency with computer systems and maintenance documentationA current Forklift Licence and a valid EWP licenseExperience within plastics, extrusion or manufacturing environmentsKnowledge of extrusion tooling, PVC, OPVC or PE production processesExperience with preventative maintenance systems and equipment troubleshootingUnderstanding of quality systems, continuous improvement practices and workplace health and safety requirementsWhy Join Us?
