About the role Amber Electric is seeking a Mid-Level UX/UI Designer to join our team. In this position, you will contribute to creating user-centric designs that enhance our platform for purchasing and selling renewable energy. Your work will play a vital role in helping customers navigate real-time electricity pricing and optimize their energy usage.

Key facts Location: Melbourne, Melbourne Region Engagement: Full time Compensation: $120,000 - $140,000

What you'll do
Design intuitive user interfaces and experiences for our digital platforms.
Collaborate with product managers and developers to ensure design feasibility and alignment with user needs.
Conduct user research and testing to gather feedback and refine designs.
Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design ideas effectively.

Requirements
A minimum of 3 years of experience in UX/UI design.
Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.




Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
Experience with responsive design and mobile-first approaches.
Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have
Familiarity with front-end development technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience in the energy sector or with sustainability-focused products.

Skills & tools
Design software: Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite.
Prototyping tools: InVision, Marvel, or similar.
User research and testing methods.
